However, I can't call it a classic. The story stuttered, got distracted and it didn't know whether it wanted to race or be a spy. I enjoyed the amazing graphics, some of the sequences were truly stunning and I didn't feel at any point that this film was a recycle of previous efforts, it was a visual treat and the characters were fun to watch, it truly was only the story that let it down (and the brief moments of being fed 'educational' lessons about bio-fuel, but I guess that's not a bad message).
I didn't get the twist, which is unusual - others I was with claimed they saw it a mile off so maybe that's why I didn't enjoy the story so much - I didn't figure it out! I did enjoy the nod to Paul Newman's character right at the beginning, and I thought Michael Caine was a great choice as the British Spy - I was also impressed with how true they kept to the layout of London.
So whilst I did enjoy Cars 2, I wasn't blown away - I did however really enjoy the short Toy Story film that played just before.
